Post-Doctoral Fellow (American Heart Association)
Karla has a long research history involving the University of Utah and the State University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. She has contributed to twenty two peer reviewed publications as of 2015 and her vast scientific knowledge makes her a great leader in the laboratory. In her home country of Brazil she coordinated and taught at a public school in Rio de Janeiro during her Masters and Doctorate. In her future Karla considers the position of Associate Researcher or a Principal Investigator as promising but hasn’t decided quite yet what will be best. At home she loves to cook and enjoys being with family and friends as she finds time to throw parties and bring people together. Her favorite places in Utah are Salt Lake City and the red rocks of Moab.
